Whether you're running it or reliving the course you already ran, this guide explains where it goes, what its profile looks like and what you'll find in each section.

42 km beside Europe's most beautiful bay

The San Sebastián Marathon has a setting that's hard to match: La Concha bay, Mount Urgull, the Paseo Nuevo battered by the Cantabrian Sea and elegant Donostia as a backdrop. Running here means doing so surrounded by one of the most beautiful urban landscapes on the continent.

The Urumea and the Old Town

The route crosses the Urumea river over its historic bridges and runs through the Old Town, the heart of the city's pintxos and tradition. These are kilometres full of atmosphere, with Donostia's crowds cheering at every step.

An autumn marathon by the sea

November's cool weather and the flat, coastal course make the San Sebastián Marathon as demanding as it is enjoyable. A race to savour as much as to compete in.
