Much of the route runs alongside the Turia Gardens, the old riverbed turned into a park, and through the city's historic centre: Town Hall Square, the Modernista Estación del Norte and the streets where Valencian crowds fill every metre with cheers.
The finish comes in the modern part of Valencia, with the City of Arts and Sciences marking the skyline. Crossing the line of the Valencia half means finishing in the city that turned running into a way of life.

The course runs through the heart of Valencia: the Turia Gardens, the historic centre with Town Hall Square and the Estación del Norte, the city's wide avenues and the modern City of Arts and Sciences area. It's an urban, wide and fast course built for rolling with no obstacles.
The profile is practically flat, with no climbs anywhere on the course. That absence of elevation, October's cool weather and the fast asphalt make the Valencia half one of the best places in Europe to set a 21 km personal best.
