The autumn Lisbon Half Marathon is held every October and runs through the most modern Lisbon — the city born from the 1998 World Expo. It's the autumn alternative to the famous spring half, on a completely different route.
The race starts in Parque das Nações, the cutting-edge district on the banks of the Tagus, and follows the estuary beneath the towering Vasco da Gama Bridge, the longest in Europe. A flat, open, luminous course beside the water.
