About the race
Chicago Marathon: 29 neighbourhoods, one million fans and the flattest Major on earth.
The Chicago Marathon has been held every October since 1977 and is one of the Six Star World Marathon Majors alongside Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin and New York. Each year, over 45,000 runners from across the globe race through 29 distinctly different neighbourhoods along the shores of Lake Michigan.
The course starts and finishes in Grant Park in the heart of downtown Chicago, looping south through Chinatown, west through Pilsen and Greektown, north through Lincoln Park and back down to the lake. The route is nearly flat throughout, with over one million spectators lining every kilometre in one of the most electric crowd atmospheres in marathon running. No major in the world is quite as consistently loud as Chicago.
Your personalised Chicago Marathon poster captures that iconic loop through the city's neighbourhoods — the Loop skyline, Lake Michigan and Grant Park — with your time and name. The perfect way to remember the day you joined the Majors.
